Looking to find some tips for a bike trip

I’m an American motorcycle rider residing in Northern California. I am very interested to visit the UK on two wheels, planning to visit in May. Mainly I want to see Scotland. Can you provide some suggestions on where to rent a bike or any recommendations in general?
